Hi Ladies,

Does anyone want to join me for the countdown later in the month? AF just got me so here I am again.

We will are on to Cycle 3 TTC no. 1 for us!

Would love to have some buddies to talk to/symptom spotters/POAS addicts.
I'm forgoing the OPKs this cycle and doing charting and temping instead :) Got my BBT the other day in preparation and I'm all good to go!

Join me please! x:flower:

Me :-D I am CD2! This is my 1st month TTC after my recent loss.
I am using opk's and checking cervix position and cm! Roll on ovulation!!

How long are your cycles normally?

Hi, I'm with you. Today is looking as though it will be CD1. Big temp drop this morning, and cramping, so I'm expecting AF anytime now.

I was 2 days late for AF, so I was hopeful this might have been our month, but I guess not.

TTC #1 for a year. Charting bbt, cm, cp, opks.

I'm CD1 today - booooo hissssss!!

We're now heading into cycle 7 of TTC #1 - I'm going to start charting this cycle too. I've been doing OPKs the past 6 cycles with no temping so heck it can't hurt to try that too can it!? Do you know which day is best to start?

Lots of baby dust to everyone!

:dust:

Hi Littleharns! You can start charting whenever you want to. If today is CD1, then start tomorrow with temping. That way you'll get to see your entire cycle charted. I use fertilityfriend which is very easy to use (and free!).

Thanks Brinbrin!

Fingers crossed it'll give me something new to obsess about!

x

Ha ha, yes, the obsession!
Each CD1 I tell myself I won't obsess this cycle and that I won't pee on any sticks until AF is late, but that never happens!
x

You're in good company with me then!!

'This is the cycle that I'll just see what happens and not track anything etc' - Yeah right!!! Never happens. I don't know why I try and kid myself :dohh: x

Hey Buddies! Thanks for joining me :)

CD 2 now (although pretty light so not sure if I should have counted yesterday as CD 1 or today…). I got woken up at 5am by my dogs and totally forgot to temp! Doh! Oh well, will start tomorrow. It's the weekend here and it's glorious to be able to sleep in…!

Littleharns I thought about doing that, just see what happens etc. but I'm not that person! I am concerned as we have been tracking and doing "all the things" for two months and we aren't pregnant so I don't really want to leave it up to something else like fate!

Jbaby I am so sorry for your losses x

AFM, no cramps yet, which normally start CD 2 so I guess I'll have a fun weekend! I can't kid myself this is IB this time (I did last time) so I guess roll on April testing!

My cycles can be from 28 days now I guess, up to 36! I've had, in about a year of tracking, two long cycles like that - 36 and 37, but that's it. The majority are around 31-33. Last month I had 25 days. This month 28 days. I'm really worried about it but I can't do much at this stage, I'll give it another month and then perhaps talk to a doctor about regulating.

Haha I'm the same I say I won't test til AF is due and then 9dpo rolls around and I start testing :-) oh well I am well prepared with opk's and IC tests this month!

What can the docs do to help regulate ur cycle? I think that's the 1 thing I have going for me I that my cycles are regular (26-28 days)

I'm not sure really, I know there are natural things I can try but I am so weary as I don't want to actually upset ovulation or anything like that! Perhaps there are drugs that the doctor could prescribe. Essentially I just want someone to tell me that I'm normal and when I'll get pregnant, that'd be lovely.

I have emailed a fertility clinic here, they do testing that you can pay for, and I think I'd really like to know now if there are going to be issues!

Ohhh my mum is from N.Z so I have heaps of family there and have been more time than I can count! Where about in nz? My family are in Wellington and Auckland and some use to be in rotorua!

Yer maybe there is a drug they can give to help regulate? I always wondered if we had issues with fertility but I don't have any issues falling pregnant just staying pregnant!

Oh cool! I'm from Auckland :)

Whereabouts in Australia are you?

I'm so sorry about your losses - that must be incredibly difficult and heartbreaking :(

AFM: I'm in a much better head space than yesterday overall, though I have my moments - I'm trying to think really positively and just get to thinking that this cycle will be it and if not, we still have time and a lot of options.

I'm from Perth!
It is very hard but I hold onto hope that I will have my baby soon enough!

Glad ur feeling good today! Try to stay positive :-)

Oh Perth, my sister was born in Subiaco :)

How are you feeling? I'm on CD 3 now and can't wait for AF to be gone - it's so much more hideous when you want it to be anything but AF, feels more painful, more uncomfortable, heavier!

We are doing the SMEP method again, do you follow any sort of method or do the deed EOD or anything?

I'm also temping, though I haven't been able to do that this weekend, keep getting woken up at 5am by my dogs! This better not be a theme! Ha.

Subiaco is about 40 minutes away from me!

I'm feeling ok, same as you, just want AF to hurry up and go away! Normally mine is only 4 days but it is seeming pretty heavy still so might last a bit longer this time :-(

What is the smep method? We just bd as much as we can around O (pretty much every day or every second day between cd12 - cd16)

Haha gosh silly dogs ruin temping routine!

It's basically that, if you Google it you can see that there is a plan to follow but essentially:

Start BD'ing EOD from CD 8
Start OPK testing every day from CD 10 (From memory I think…)
When you get your positive OPK, BD every day for three days, then skip a day and then BD once more
Don't test until 15 days after your positive OPK!

However. If I'm not doing OPKs this cycle, driving me insane!!! Then I guess we aren't doing true SMEP. We are just going to EOD and if I can get an idea on FF of when I ovulate then I'll ramp up the BD'ing around that time to every day.

TBH I think it'll be nice without OPKs, because I didn't get a clear positive last cycle I just tested and tested and tested and it did my head in all the worrying about not getting a positive. I've heard that temping is more reliable so we'll see!

I'm so hoping for a Christmas baby. It's not ideal timing but as a teacher it's not bad, end of the school year!

Oh well I will definitely be following that plan!!!

This is my first time using opk's and I have been pregnant twice before quite quickly without using any particular method (just bd around the time ff said I was ovulating and checking cm) so you still have a good chance!! I'm only using opk's this cycle to try catch the egg straight away and give me a better chance!

When I told DH that if we fall pregnant this month it would be due December he said he didn't want a baby born in December but then we decided we will go with it and see what happens cos we might not even fall pregnant this cycle anyway!
Yer it will kinda be good timing for a teacher :-D
