CD13...EWCM and negative OPK??

I don't normally get EWCM but every few cycles, yet I know I'm ovulating. This cycle I did actually get EWCM, but it happened almost four days before I ovulated!! I think it just means you're getting close!!!

I sometimes get it a week before I ovulate. It happens because of an estrogen surge that happens before you ovulate. Don't worry, your OPK should get dark soon!

I am cd18 and still -ve opk's but have had lots of watery and ewcm. I also had a lot of ovulation pains last week: lower back ache and cramping on my lhs. Today I have had much darker opk's (still -ve tho) and my cervix is soft, high and open and i'm producing lots of ewcm. I imagine I will get my LH surge over the next day or 2 and then hopefully ovulate!

It's a lot later this cycle - last month I ovulated on cd17 (30d cycle) so wonder if it will be a 35d cyclw (which is what happend in July too!)

So, yes it is normal! Have a look at my chart and you'll see how much fertile cm i've had without ovulating yet!

For me ewcm started on CD12 and I only got my first +opk at CD16.

You can get EWCM and not ovulate until later, this is very normal. No worries just keep using your OPK's! Try using them twice a day if you can, this way you won't miss your surge.

yeah i think so..ive always seen ewcm as a fertile period as the body is producing sperm friendly cm..so i think my body is calling out for it

Ooooh missy that's close!!! Test again tonight!! Mine stay light until just hours before my surge, and I'll notice that I'm getting close when the line starts to darken but isn't quite there. I find if I test a few hours later I'll catch my surge from the very beginning. Good Luck!!!!

ewcm means you are highly fertile, it is the perfect environment for sperm to live in for up to 5 days, so ttc on each day you have ewcm and up to 3 days after your last day of ewcm.

You're only fertile the few days before you ovulate, so yes technically you are.. but if you get ewcm two weeks before you ovulate, then that's not "fertile".. if that makes any sense lol Getting ewcm after you ovulate doesn't mean you're fertile then either. EWCM only has to do with an estrogen surge which can happen all throughout your cycle, but generally the most is right before ov xx
