cd21 progesterone 28

so i had my day 3 done in jan all good.
had day 21 done this cycle, progesterone 28.
seems from researching, usa regard over 20 as good, uk is over 30?
i had my daughter 6 years ago. i was on the pill when i caught pregnant.
i had to for personal reasons have a termination 7 months after her. (god do i regret that now)
i caught pregnant on depo in 2009 (NO my shot was NOT late) early miscarriage.
have been in loving relationship 3 years now but no baby.
progesterone 28 what y'all reckon? am i looking at clomid do we think?
would love some advice on what plan to present to my doc when i go back and ask him to get me pregnant lol.
would love advice or to hear from anyone who feels like a chat/goss, n particularly someone in similar situation
my feeling is that depo being synthetic progesterone having ben in my system for 3 shots, has stopped body producing adequate progesterone.
i have problems regularly with cysts that do diperse themselves and keep stock of morphine etc in cupboard.
Last cyst found September was on ovary containing clotted blood -am i being dum or corpus luteum gone wrong?

Have you been checked for blood clotting disorders? It's possible you may have one as I don't think it's normal to have clotted blood in the ovary.

i have had standard blood tests loadsa times over the years, never had cause to ask for that, i know it normal to get blood in complex cysts (it gone for now, til the next one :/ but at the scan that found that one she said "i can see thickening but nothing to worry about but when i went back 6 weeks later, turned out theyd known exactly what it was and were really worried but it had seemingly gone?! she said def no pcos but was bit distant when questioned her about endo) but never read of clotted blood, what u reckon? how r u getting on with ttc? thank you muchly for your reply xxx

doc confirmed progesterone 28 does not confirm ovulation so am going to doc on 13th to discuss

what do i need to ask for?

i assume it will have shown on last tv u/s if i had no eggs?

is there a blood test for egg quality etc?

ok couple of questions...

Did you have the bloods done on exactly CD21?

are your cycles exactly 28 days?

Did you O on CD14?

DR's call it CD21 bloods based on a very regular 28 day cycle. The 'CD21' bloods should be done at 7DPO rather then 'CD21' to get an accurate reading. 7DPO is when your progesterone should peak.

If you didn't O until say CD16 then you were only 5 DPO and your progesterone test was done and would likely still rise.

If however you answered yes to all the above questions then yes 28 is slightly low and things can be done to help, like clomid to aid a stronger ovulation.

you are ovulating if you are producing progesterone as this is only produced after O by the corpus luteum (the follicle sack your egg came from) this produces progesterone until an egg implants and then implantation makes your body produce Progesterone to maintain a pregnancy. the corpus luteum then dies... if no implantation occurs then AF arrives as progesterone drops.

so AF came today which means i had a 25 day cycle so from being regular 28s to the most recent back to when was 28: 25, 28, 27, 23, 28.
also i got a positive on a clearblue digital on cd10 so thinking i ov'd on day 10 of this 25 day cycle. which as per your info above i would have had blood drawn 6 days late so guessing if my progesterone was still at 28 at that point then not too bad?
what is worrying me now though is have shortened cycle again. dont understand why this could be.
although have been having lot of pain so wondering if got another tricky cyst on the go?
god could it be early menopause? x

Just wanted to share my story.My cycles are usually 25 to 26 days.I did progesterone test and it was just 2.4 which meant i did not ov.I was put on Clomid 50 mg and today my results came and it was just 4.6 which again meant i did not ov . Since i chart i know i went for blood test on 7 or 8 dpo.I also get +opk and thermal shift every cycle.I am really so disappointed.Even i was thinking could it be early menopause.
