Do you think that it is mad that I am 37 and not had a CD3 test done but loads of others? Couldn't have it done at the GPs coz they have no funding for fertility tests and when I went for my RMC/fibroid appointment they ordered loads but didn't mention this?
Does it have to be CD3?
Could the fact that I had a D+C this cycle make a difference if I somehow managed to get them done?
Any ideas on how I could get them done on a Saturday when I'm not home (down South with DH)

Thanks ladies

What NHS PCT area do you live in? I find it hard to believe that they cant finance a simple blood test!

It does need to be cd3 or there abouts, maybe CD4 or 5 at a push.

I think this sounds very odd......and I am sorry this has happened to you.xx

North Staffordshire PCT - 1 of only 3 in the country that doesn't fund even 1 round of IVF on the NHS and because of this they won't do any tests as they say t isn't worth starting investigations when they can't treat (or something along those line). I am getting help for recurrent MCs now as that is different than fertility probelms :dohh:

Hi
I have been told to have mine done on Cd2 so you could go on the Friday x

I would seriously go to your MP on this one. How disgraceful. Can you try to get a referal outwith your pct. I am having problems with mine and the GP is happy to refer to another one ( one that conicidentally doesnt have an IVF wait list and has three attempts!).

Truly disgraceful. I am very sorry, and angry on your behalf! Good luck XXX

I know it is terrible and believe me we have been through the angry stage over the past (nearly) two years now. But I am getting some help albeit for RMC and fibroid. We've had our house up for sale for nearly a year as well to try and get out of the area (other reasons as well though).
I just would like this test done to know but i suppose i could wait for my post op appointment and bring it up then. Hopefully i won't have to if i get a BFP first!

Oh I just remembered a while ago i did one of those POAS fertility tests on CD3 and it was ok - do you think they're any good?

Tansey,
They have a test over here and it's from First Response. It is a CD 3 test for fertility in women. I ordered one for me and I will take it next cycle to see if my FSH levels are high. If they are, then I know what my problem is. I hope they are low. I am so nervous! I am 37 too. Which isn't old but it is considered advanced maternal age! FUCK! :hissy: :dohh:
I hope I am pregnant this time so I don't have to do that test! I can do it through my insurance, but I will start here. Good luck hun! :hugs:
