So, we've been ttc for 26 months now and for much of that time I have used opks. I've never had a faint line let alone a positive until May 17th. That day I got a dark second line and we bd but it obviously didn't result in a pregnancy. In June I didn't ovulate once again but af was back, which is a miracle in itself. June made the 3rd month that af has come and I figure that my cycle is 33 days now that I have started menstruating again. Af ended on July 3rd making June's af the longest I've had in 4 years (8 days). I thought that I would ovulate, IF I was going to, around the 14th, but I started spotting really lightly on the 10th and then again on the 11th and I was cramping. So I took an opk and it was negative but there was a faint line. On the 12th, I took another one and it was slightly darker but still not very dark. Today, I took another one and it is darker, but still not as dark as the control line. For the past few days my cm has been watery, I've never had ewcm. But last night/today it has been creamy, basically it looks lotiony but feels slippery. Any thoughts? Is it possibly an indicator that ovulation will happen soon? If by some chance I O'd on cd 15 I hope that we're still covered because we bd every other day all month except af. I just wonder if it's going to happen. I am new to this ovulating thing.

Thanks!

The picture is of the opk from today (well, around 1 am). I forgot to take pics of the others so there isn't anything to compare it to.

Hi,

I know how it feels to ttc for a long time, we were trying for over 3 years and ended up having IVF (1st cycle worked, which im forever thankful for).

I just want to ask if you have pcos or anything? Have you been to the dr about your periods? My periods were a bit messed up and I wasnt ovulating so I tried something called Agnus Castus from Holland and Barrett, i took it for the first 14 days of my cycle then stopped, 14 days later af came, it give me a perfect 28 day cycle and i got positive OPK, you might want to give it a go :) x

I used to use the strips that had the two lines, and now I use the Clear Blue Easy Ovulation strips that have a smiley face. Its more expensive, but well worth not having the confusion. Start using them after you start your period. If you haven't had a positive by day 20 of your cycle, I would call your doctor

I do have pcos and I have an appointment with a fertility specialist/RE in August to be tested for endometriosis too. Congratulations that your IVF worked!!! That's awesome! I was shocked to actually get a positive in may because that's never happened in the two years we've been trying so now I am working on trying to get another one and it's frustrating. I used to have a clear blue monitor but it got lost when we moved and since it was always negative I never bothered to buy another. I may have to do that though.

For me, creamy/lotiony CM means that I already ovulated. But, its not always the same for everyone. I have really clear CM patterns though, I am lucky that way. Its always goes in this order: sticky - ewcm - watery - dry - creamy/lotiony.

The test you posted doesn't really say much, unfortunately. Especially with PCOS, you can get a test like that at any time. I hope ovulation is still on its way for you though! If I were you I would keep testing until you have a dry day, as long as you have enough opks. Best of luck to you!

You mean to say examination of Endometrium or uterus lining. ?

I have no idea. I was told that he thought I may have endometriosis so he was going to do some tests and stuff at my appointment. I'm clueless as to what that entails.
