Change from sma to cow and gate

Has anyone changed from sma if so how did u get on? My 5 week old is bein sick alot after feeds and is very unsettled I tryed to contact my HV but can't get hold of her! I bought some cow and gate today and hope to start her on it tomorrow has anyone else changed formula how did your baby find it?

I haven't changed formula but know people who have. Some babies are happy to swap, some need to be eased into it. Best just to give it a go and see how LO gets on then take it from there.

I've heard alot of bad things about SMA, LO will probably be happier on Cow n Gate

Have changed my boys milk from cow and gate (colicky) to sma (sicky and gassy) when he was 2 weeks old, to aptamil comfort (sicky) when he was 6 weeks and now to aptamil anti reflux (success!) when he was 8 weeks! it hasn't upset his tummy at all and doctor said formula is a case of trial and error and not to worry about swapping!

Someone I know had similar bother recently with SMA - think they switched to Aptamil in the end.

I changed my youngest to cow and gate (from hipp) and he was fine, alot happier i also changed my eldest from SMA (to hipp) and again the change went well.

in New zealand our little girl was not doing too well feeding wise on the kari-care brand so when we came to NZ i looked up the best formula for reflux and digestion and stumbled across aptamil comfort and she has thrived on it. she can now have normal aptamil hungry milk without her tummy hurting, mind u she is now eight and a half months, I have given her SMA gold when we ran out of aptamil and there were no issues, it had to be the gold thickened formula though
keep trying until you find one that fits
