Hey I need some advice, has anyone changed anti reflux formulas - specifically from Aptamil AR to SMA Staydown?

We did this today, not because she didn't agree with aptamil but because it is only available at Boots and there is not a local boots so is a nightmare to get hold of and SMA staydown is available at Tesco.

I thought they would be similar but SMA is a lot thinner and she just wouldn't drink it & she was sick after :(

Does anyone have any experience, I am really worried about her not eating tonight especially as Boots is not open until 9am tomorrow xxx

Stay down thickens in the tummy so it appears thin but thickens inside, however depending how fast there sick it might not have chance to thicken, hense being sick. It took my son a few days before the stay down appeared to make a difference. Now he has it with gavoscon which makes it thicker and his sickness has dropped dramatically. Maybe worth going the docs and getting it prescribed to go wih the stay down if its easier for you to get. If not can you get aptamil deliverd if you find it better? Hope your LO is sorted soon Hun, ano how hard a refluxy baby is. Goodluk x
