CHAPS payment

I worked for a company for a short amount of time and they havnt paid me.

I chased this up as was meant to be paid at the end of July and they stated they didn't receive my new starter details.

I have re sent the relevant forms but have been told payment will take 10-15 days to process.

They can't withhold my money can they? Especially as i am owed this since last week so it's unfair for me to wait so long.

I've emailed asking for a CHAPS payment but noone has replied yet.

What can I do if they decline doing a CHAPS?

that does seem like a long time. would they be able to issue u with a cheque? maybe if you write to them stating that the situation has put u in financial hardship they might push the payment through more quickly.
