Charm bracelets for baby boys?

Hi all, this is my first post so hello and hope you are all looking forward to Christmas!!

I know its probably a bit late for christmas now but when I was a baby my nan bought me a charm bracelet that she was going to buy a charm for each birthday and christmas as a nice keepsake. Sadly she died not long after I was born and so my charm bracelet remains charmless. However, I think the idea is great and wondered if anyone has done something similar or has any ideas for a baby boy? Not sure if charm bracelets are too girly? My mum suggested buying pieces of a nice wooden train set each year to build it up? Any other ideas welcome....

i dont think id buy a charm bracelet for a boy, cant imagine him ever wearing it as he gets older if you know what i mean, i like the train set idea, maybe just me but i deffo would not buy jewellry for my boy :/ xx

my grandma did the same thing! it was gold and when she died when i was 15, my mum kept buying charms for it at birthdays etc. i would never have worn it tho, im not a gold person, so i sold it and bought a solid gold charm for my pandora instead. which i wear. it means so much to me. i dont know about a boy tho? very girly imo. i love the train idea!

Hi! I agree with the others about not buying jewellery like a charm bracelet for a boy. I do really like the train set idea though. I bought my little boy a ltd edition teddy bear for 2009 for his first christmas last year.
