Broody, my DH is in the same boat. High sperm count (I think it was 176 mil in 1.1 cc, but only has 2% in the proper form). They haven't diagnosed you yet with pcos, and from what I've heard monitored cycles usually help with it. And your levels out of whack can be fixed! Don't give up yet, anything is possible and it certainly doesn't have to end with IVF for you if that is what you're fearing.

There is also the possibility to get your BFP naturally, it just might take longer than planned

BROODY - you and DH need to sit down...have a good cry...have a few laughs...let everthing out in the open and then from there things will be less stressful. let the doc give you a correct diagnosis before thinking of all the bad things. for now spoil your little one with all the love in the world....

whimsical - I'm cd6 so not much going on. I'm taking epo, I took it for the first time the cycle I got my bfp and have some left over so thought I'd give it another go. I've noticed an increase in cm already so fx it helps this cycle.

Thanks guys. It's just been a crappy day all round as had to take dyl to A&e this morning. He's got irritable hip and can't put any weight on his right leg. I feel like crap due to lack of sleep, stress and rubbish diet today. I've got a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge so hopefully we get a chance to relax and discuss tonight! Although clearly the wine won't be ttc beneficial!

Good evening ladies.

Had the HSG. The Tech says that everything looks good. The dye filled the uterus, filled the tubes, and spilled out the end so there is no blockages or anything there. The nurse and the tech were great, very good at keeping me informed about what to expect and what was coming next. The insert of the catheter was painful but not horrible, the worst part was when they blew up the balloon and then inserted the dye - that was pretty severe cramping but it subsided a little to more of a very uncomfortable bad period cramping and the whole process wasn't more than about 10-15 minutes. Spotting now, and still some cramping, but it's getting better.

So that's one more test done. And DH had his SA today and his blood draw for the genetic testing. So now we just have to wait for our results. I still haven't heard about my blood results from last week. My next appointment is Monday (I think to do another set of bloods and another us to look at ovaries and check that I'm about to O).


Broody That's great that DH has a high sperm count. Hopefully the morphology piece doesn't have a big impact. I'm so sorry to hear that things are not so good with your results. You only mentioned one ovary? Is the other one not producing follicles? I wonder about the multiple follicles because I had something lke 7 on one ovary and 9 on the other when they checked me at CD3 and they said that was normal.

With Low Prolactic and High Progesterone it sounds like it shouldn't be that hard of a fix...that sounds like just some hormone injections should fix that?

Don't let this get you down until you see the specialist. There's still a good chance that things could come out positively.

Enjoy the wine. HOnestly, it might be better for you ttc than you think. My dr said not to worry about alochol up through when AF is due, and that being relaxed may be more beneficial than anything.

*hugs* broody. It must be a shock to process now, I hope your chat with DH helped (and the wine!). I hope that once you get to the fertility specialist the course of action is relatively simple, they are the most knowledgeable people around on this matter, so I'm hopeful for you!!

Angel - Great news about your HSG! You must feel more relaxed now its over

AFM - My doctors appointment is after work tonight, so I won't get to take blood test until tomorrow morning. Still having yucky brown discharge when I wipe, 4th day of it now, no red though so I'm still hopeful!

Agree no red is a good sign sheece. Probably implantation. I think you've got twins in there with that line!

Feeling a lot more positive today. Little man is on the mend. Amazing how quick they bounce back. We're just going to roll with it and see what happens for now.

Yes the left produces follicles but this was towards the end of my cycle so there shouldn't have been follicles visible at that point. It seems like the right ovary gets over stimulated and produces too many but apparently that affects the quality of what is being produced (I think, I don't fully understand it!). A lot to take in yesterday!

Just got back from the doctor, she wasnt concerned at all about the spotting and the light lines on tests, so that made me feel better!

All my levels like blood sugar etc are good, and I asked to get bloodtests, so i have one tomorrow and one in 72 hours to make sure my levels are doing what they should be. Then i have to go in again to get the results, so I should know by Tuesday!

I had my blood test this morning, results should be back this afternoon so I will ring and get the levels.

I started bleeding early AM this morning though Full period like flow with pain Had a good cry with my OH, its not looking good Fingers crossed my body just likes bleeding and the baby is fine but I don't have a good feeling

I havent been able to get my blood test results yet, the nurse said the doctor had to review and theyd call me back.

OH got me a digi so I took that and it was not pregnant, and im still bleeding so I guess this was a CP

Im sad but at the same time, a bit relieved that I just finally know whats happened. Weird I know but I guess I havent had a good feeling about it from the start

Back to waiting for this period to end, hopefully things get back to normal quickly.
