Hi,

Sorry, I'm quite new so not sure if I'm posting in the right section but I'm not feeling that pregnant right now so I assumed TTC would be better.

I got a very faint BFP on 14dpo (day AF was due) and a slightly darker (although still pretty faint) BFP on 15dpo (1 day late).

On the afternoon of 15dpo I had some spotting - bright red. A few hours later I got really severe cramps like I've never experienced before, followed by more bleeding - still bright red. Definitely more than spotting this time.

That was yesterday. The cramps stopped after about 45 minutes as suddenly as they started, but since then I've been bleeding on and off. It's much lighter than normal AF and redder and thinner. My temperature hasn't dropped below the cover line yet (which it usually does the day of or day before AF).
I tested positive again today, but I assume even if implantation failed, HCg would be in my system for a while - does anyone know for how long when it fails this early?

My test today is identical to yesterday's - neither stronger nor darker.

I'm assuming this is a chemical pregnancy but I'm still not sure because AF-proper hasn't arrived. It's too much blood for implantation though and I doubt I would have got the severe cramps if it was breakthrough.

I just want to know what's happening now. Feeling exhausted and sad

Awh u poor thing! I just wanted to say I hope it will all be ok but I don't know anything about chemical pregnancies, if it is, can't be any help but I'm sure someone will have some info for you. X

Thanks Karley. It'll probably have to be a wait and see thing, but I'm not very good at that (I'm rather inpatient).
On the bright side, if it was a chemical it means the egg was fertilised, which is encouraging. (trying to focus on that!)

Yes that's definately the best way to look at things :) I'm impatient too, can't wait to poas lol.

Hugs x

I don't know about chemical pregnancies either but just had to say your positive approach enlightened me xx
Here's to a sticky bean and positivity!

Fingers crossed for you xxx
Please keep us informed xxx

i know what ur going through i had one last month and i was upset for a day or two but then thought about how much sweeter it will be wen i finally get that real BFP and then reach the safe point then get to hold my baby i think going through something like this makes us so much stronger and less likely to take things for granted...i hope u get ur rainbow baby soon because after a storm comes a rainbow right? GL fingers crossed for us both..if u need to vent at all u can pm me if u want im there for u and even though we want to stay strong sometimes we just need to let it out then get stronger

also i think u need to go get ur hcg levels checked just incase

hey - i had a chemical last month, i experienced really bad cramps too, like nothing i had ever felt before, postive hpt's too, the only way to know is to get a blood test to look if your levels are going up or down, when was your last normal AF?

I had a chemical a few months ago. I got really bad cramps too, like doubled over in bed in pain. Went to the doc to get a blood test done and the chemical was still at 11 in my system. So it slowly goes away. You should definitely still get it checked by a doctor.

Thank you for all your kind words. I particularly love the idea of a 'rainbow baby' after the storm - that's very sweet.

Bleeding has continued and the line is no darker today than it was 3 days ago (it's very faint) so I'm going to take this as AF, just a bit lighter, and look forward to the next month.
I'm not going to the doctors. I think it would make it more upsetting and stressful for us than it needs to be. Afterall, before they had these sensitive tests this would happen all the time to women without them even knowing. I'd rather just nature takes its course. There's nothing to be done now anyway.

I won't be testing early next month. I'll be leaving it until at least 3 days late. I'm a bit unsure of my cycle this month now anyway due to stop-start bleeding and up and down temperatures, so I think this month will be low-tech one. Possibly a good thing.

thanks for your support x

i think you've got the right idea of not going to the dr's , i sure wish i hadnt.

good luck to you for july

I had a CP last month. It came with extreme bad cramps and I did bleed a lot more than I had in the past. I also had more blood clots (sorry TMI) then usual. However, I have to look at the bright side, the egg was fertilized.
