Child tax credits?

I went to apply for these and had to go to an interview to verify myself!

anyways i got the application pack for tax credits and im just filing it out, but then it asks for child benefit number.. can i not apply untill i have that?? i sent the letter off last week for child benefit... But the healthy start people said they wont send anymore vouchers untill they have confirmation from the tax credits people.. and i need the vouchers to get her milk!

Also just rang income support people to tell them i had had Ava and she was so rude and snotty on the phone. she said they will ring me if they need any more information or anything changes... Does it go up now that ive had her? or does it stay the £101 every 2 weeks?? can i get it weekly now and is it £64? so confused,

Not sure about the income support hun cause i get a bursary but i do get full child tax creds i receive it weekly and its 65 quid a week, it goes down to 50 once the baby is one. I had to wait till i got my child benefit ref number to apply for tax creds but i only waited about a week for my first payment of child benefit and you can call up and ask for your ref i think and post it off. the tax creds people are good to got my payment within two weeks and it was backdated till when he was born x

Yeah you have to wait till you have your child benefit number to send off tax credits form, it shouldn't take very long, and it will all be backdated. I dont think the healthy start vouchers are sorted until the tax credits are sorted, you could give them a ring to update your circumstances and see what they say.

And yeah, the income support should go upto £64 a week, but it will still be paid fortnightly, as before. I had to give them my child benefit number when I rang to change my circumstances. So they might need that from you too

orite, glad i sent off the child benefit thing when i did as everything needs that number! and that needed the birth cert so glad i got that done so fast too! bit of a hassle. Wish income support was weekly, so much easier to budget!

wen we applied had the same question.. i rang tc to ask and they told me to send form in anyway and put in the further info bit on the frm tht i was waiting for chb number..

wen i did get it a week later they already had it as they linked it to my chb claim...

as long as you have put a claim in for child ben it is ok...
