hi i have pcos and been told to take clmid, does this help in getting preganant
Welcome Baby,
Clomid promotes ovulation and in doing so increases your chances of pregnancy. Most often it's prescribed to ladies who do not ovulate on their own but in my case I do ovulate but I'm just not getting pregnant. They've put me on clomid just to see if it helps and from what I've seen it should do. Instead of releasing one egg I have 6 mature follicles and therefore 6 potential eggs to fertilise. However Clomid can cause all sorts of side effects, I haven't had any problems but some ladies do. There are many success stories on here where ladies have had a great results on clomid. This is my first cycle so I'm playing the waiting game at the moment. I hope this helps xx
