Response to an old thread actually.
Just to mention that I got Cholestasis with BOTH my girls even though they were 7 years apart. The doctors tried to tell me that I wouldn't and didn't but....... Still, it ended as soon as the girls were born and I have 2 beautiful daughters - now aged 34 and 27 !!

Cholestasis of pregnancy can make you intensely uncomfortable. With regular prenatal care and monitoring, your baby will likely not be affected during pregnancy and after delivery. While cholestasis isn't preventable, your doctor may recommend or prescribe topical anti-itch medications, lotions or corticosteroids, as well as medication to help the liver function properly and reduce the total bile acid levels in the liver. Warm baths, also seem to lower the intensity of the itching for some women.
