Well from today onwards our weekends will consist of doing Christmas related stuff.

Today we are going shopping to buy the boys their Christmas day outfits, me my Christmas Eve PJ's and other Christmas bits that I see.

Next weekend we are going to Christmas party for SnS where Evan attends with Santa and present, a buffet and a disco.

Weekend after is the Santa Steam Train.

Weekend after is another Christmas party for the multi sports club with Santa and present, buffet and a disco.

Weekend after is the one just before Xmas and will consist of food shopping and last min shopping :happydance:

What have you all got planned?

At the minute not a lot, today we are going to see Santa, next Friday we are going to the Christmas market and hopefully the Friday after that we are going to the Titanic Christmas experience :)

Ohhhh and I forgot we are hopefuuly going on the Santa bus the week before Christmas :)

We have got a Christmas thing at my work on the 11th where all the kids get a present from Santa and they are having a magic show.

On the 13th is poppys nursery party and both our work Christmas parties.

On the 16th we are going on the Santa express.

Exciting !

Hopefully next weekend we will be going to get the tree and a kids Christmas party where my OH works on Sunday but then I'm working weekends until Christmas :-( I'm hoping my mum will take her on the Santa steam train in a fortnight though.

We're doing Christmas related stuff each weekend too.

Yesterday we went to see Santa arrive at the local shopping centre and JJ had a ball. He met Buzz and Woody as well as Santa and I brought him in to see Santa too and got a pressie and photo, then took him into our version of the pound shop where he insisted he wanted a gun like Woody's one.

Today we'll be heading up to my Mam's house as I've to go sort JJs passport and will bring him into town to see all the shop's displays and lights and we'll have lunch out as a treat too.

Over the next few weekends we're going to be going to:

The Kia Ora farm where they have a grotto, a real manger with live animals, the kids get to ride the fire engine and meet Santa and presents for the kids, mulled wine or tea/coffee and muffin for the parents.

Local hotel where they have a train laid on to bring the kids to Santa. First they meet Mrs Claus have some hot chocolate and hear the story of Santa Claus, then onto the train and through the forest to the elves cabins where they can explore and then the elves will bring the kids to meet Santa who'll know all their names and have presents ready for them before getting the train back. This one I'm really excited about but also worried cos the website says they then get the train back 'to family and friends' so thinking that means the kids get the train on their own - for one thing I'd rather be with JJ to look after him and see him experience all of it and for another he's very young and might not want to go with just his 6yr old cousin. I'll be enquiring about it anyway.

And we're also going to go to the cinema to see the Christmassy film that's coming out.

So excited and loving making the month of December really special for JJ:happydance:

In the run up to Christmas we will be:

Doing a special trip to Toys R Us where William will be allowed to choose one toy and we have lunch out. This is a tradition from my childhood which I want to do with William. We used to be able to choose one small toy each to have then and also pick out Christmas presents for each other. Next year William will be picking out a present for his little brother as well a choosing a little toy for himself.

We are going to the German Christmas market and doing a general day out that day probably heading to the large park nearby which he will love and having a look round the shops.

We will be going on an evening walk to look at the Christmas lights.

We will be going to the local shopping centre on a day when they have a band playing Christmas music to enjoy that.

We will be going down the town on a special market day where they have fun fair rides and reindeer.

We also have a few trips that don't include William, we do a big shop to get the Christmas food and on William's last preschool session before they break up for Christmas we are going out for breakfast together.

Ohh I am so jealous of all your plans, I need to make some!
All we have planned so far is going out for a christmas dinner with my parents and brother and SIL as its the first Christmas my parents will be on their own for christmas dinner!

We don't have anything planned yet. Tegan is at respite on Friday night. Saturday we will get her back at about 12-1ish. The christmas lights are being turned on in town that day but I don't know if we are going or not. I think later today we might make some snowflakes and then do some painting. Not sure about the weeks after that. I do love the run up to christmas though :D
