Ok, I'm getting in a bit of a strop over finding Olivia her first stocking. I don't like the feel of felt (I'm really fussy with how fabrics feel) and feel like I keep coming to dead ends. I want something special for her that she can hopefully keep for as long as possible.

I did like this minnie mouse one from the disney store, but when I saw it in person it was much smaller than I was expecting and a bit stiff. It wasn't really very flexible, so no good for putting presents in :nope:

So I thought I would come and ask the lovely ladies of the grotto. Do you have any recommendations for me pretty please?

Thanks in advance :xmas20: :xmas12:

How about making one for her? I made dd's for her first Christmas using some of her old sleep suits for material. This year I'm making matching ones for both my girls. I bought some nice girlie Christmas material to use. The first one I made was the the first thing I'd ever sewed and I didn't find it too difficult. There's lots of videos on youtube showing you how to make one.

we got some really nice knitted ones from matalan last year

the disney store do a lovely christmas sack if you aren't too set on having a stocking. It's really big and you can get loads in it x

My mum got these for my girls at her house, they are lovely and fit loads.

Also JOjo Maman Bebe do a stocking that's cotton and my girls have one of those too....fits loads.
Will try and find a link

I'm also going to suggest making one. I made both of my boys in time for their 1st Christmas. I patchworked various Christmas material and the decorated with their names. It's actually really easy

I don't like felt either!

I'm loving the white company's stockings and probably going to get E this one (will prob buy for J too so they can have matching, and no arguments as they grow up ;) ) -

Dh has chosen the mickey and minnie large sack for her from the Disney Store as there's a 20% discount floating around at the moment.

Dani I showed him that one as it caught my eye too, but he didn't seem keen :dohh:

I'm half tempted by this stocking from Etsy

Loving all the suggestions though, thanks everyone <3 I might try and make her one for next year as I love that idea, if I can improve my sewing machine skills

I looove these from matalan. They're big and only £6!
