The line on the right measures estrogen. It doesn't work like the lines on an OPK because in fact the line gets LIGHTER as estrogen is higher! Also there's no comparison line. You can see the line getting lighter, and very light on CD 15 and 16. That means estrogen is surging.
The line on the left measures the same hormone as an OPK, the luteineizing hormone or LH. As you can see, on CD 17 it suddenly gets darker and thus I get a PEAK reading on the monitor.
I like to look at This picture in comparison. You see that when ovulation is near, estrogen rises first (right CBFM line get's lighter) and then the LH surges (left CBFM line gets darker).

Thanks for posting and sharing, now we all know what to look for. I thought the darker the better, ahh! Not had the left line yet but will be looking, think i might keep my sticks this cycle and compare.
