Clomid + 4mg Estrogen

Because Clomid thins my lining I asked the doctor if he would be ok giving me estrogen pills in order to increase my lining. He says in his experience it wont help much but he is ok prescribing it to me for this cycle. I'll take 2mg twice per day on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday when I go in for my CD10 scan.

But now Im confused because they always say to not take any estrogen related anything (like soy isoflavones for example) and now m taking estrogen pills... how does the estrogen affect the follicle growth? How does it affect my lining?

I should have asked my doctor but forgot :/
