So heres the story so far.
I dont ovulate regularly.
OH has great motility and qty but low morphology.
Been trying 2 and a half years, Now on the waiting list for IVF.
My fertility doctor said once i have had my tubes checked she will start me on clomid.

Now for my question.
I know the clomid will help me ovulate but isnt this a waste of time if my OHs morphology is low? Will the clomid help us or not?

Also, anyone have any success stories who have the same as us?
Really need to hear some now

Thank you in advance.

Hey! Our situation was exactly the same, clomid didn't work for us unfortunately
And we went on to ave ICSI which worked first time and we now have 2 and a half year old twin boys :) currently TTC number 3!! X good luck x

I know this probably doesn´t help very much, but just to say we´re in the same boat... poor morph despite great everything else and me not ovulating regularly on my own due to medical condition. Clomid didn´t suit me so am on Tamoxifen but feel the same as you - is this a waste of time? Sadly our FS told us that we are classed as ´unexplained´. How we are unexplained, I don´t know. Won´t be getting referral to further treatment until 3 years has passed. I do know that a friend of mine got a BFP despite poor morphology, so maybe it´s possible?

:hugs:

Theres alot of success stories so im hopeful :)
Only time will tell..
We will be getting our first IVF attempt next august a month after our wedding so perfect timing.
fingers crossed for us all :D

How low is his Morph? My DH's was 4% but like you his other numbers were fine. I was consumed with worry because of everything I've read online but my Dr said over and over she doesn't even look at Morph because they're so strict about what they consider a "normal" sperm that they count out a lot of "good" sperm. I did clomid 3 rounds (1 at 50 Mg and 2 at 100 Mg -CD 5-9) then wanted a HSG which she said my tubes were open but the dye was a little hard to push through at first so she said I could have had some gunk / mucous built up that just needed to be cleared out. Then waited a cycle went back on 100mg switched to days 3-7 and it worked!! So, I won't know what it was that worked for us, but I do know his low Morph ended up not being our problem! GL Hun!!!

<1% so pretty low, but im not too worried about it anymore because our doctor said vitamins will help and also the clomid will help too :D

My DH and I were in the same situation. I was on clomid my first round because I don't ovulate on my own. I had to switch to femara and then eventually femara with injectables. Clomid reduced my lining too much where as femara didn't and Femara alone only produced on good follicle.

My DH took all the supplements that our FS prescribed and it really did help (that or the first SA was really off). My FS said that even if I ovulated on my own and it was just my DH, he would still have me on meds. It was best for there to be mulitple targets for DH guys to aim for. I've also read many articles saying morphology is not important but I haven't looked into that much to give a more informed opinion.

Best of Luck!!

hi Jen,
just want to wish you best of luck on this difficult journey. this is my 1st time on here and I promised when we got our BFP i would post to give others some hope. I spent months on here looking for success stories with clomid and low morpphology and it def helped me when I was feeling low. My DH and I have a 2.5yr old DD concieved with clomid and TI after 1.5yrs TTC. after the 1st year TTC i was convinced it was something to do with me even though I was as regular as clock work 28 days, but after every test under the sun I was ok and my Dh SA came back with 6% morphology, all other factors were fine. we got our BFP on clomid and 9 months later we had our most precious gift imaginable. we wanted to try pretty soon after for obvious reasons but i developed overactive thyroid and was put on 2yrs medication and advised not to fall pregnant. like it would happen that easy for us:haha: so once i finished my meds and was given the ok we were put straight back on 50mg of clomid,US and TI. I am 34 and was concerned that time was ticking for me so we decided to move onto IUI after 3BFN also this time my DH SA hadnt gotten any better despite neumerous vitamins i had given him months before we were even allowed to try. Pycnogenol, selenium and a men multi vit, all which are supposed to help but unfortunatly his results went from 6% to 3%. well here I am after our 1st IUI and to my utter dismay and disbelief we have got our BFP. i really didnt in a million years think it had worked i was sure AF was coming. i honestly believe that that it will happen, my fertility doc was so positive which was great and i firmly believed that our family wasnt complete yet. I had this deep feeling that i would be a mom, kept hoping and lots of wishing but prayer def gave me strenght too. i am now praying for a healthy 9 months and will keep you and all the other ladies on here waiting for BFP in my thoughts and prayers I wish you lots of baby dust :hugs: sorry for the ramble I can go on abit:winkwink: low morophologhy as far as i have been told is one of the easiest to infertility factors overcome not that that seems possible when we are going though the fertility journey. good luck Jen:thumbup:
