Clomid..Any one had this!?

Hey!
I started taking clomid for the first time this month. i went in today or an internal scan to check the follicles/eggs.
The told me that i had 3 follicles/eggs (one a bit further behing the others and smaller but the other two perect size) and i will ovulate within next 24 hours. Has any one else had an internal after clomid and had the same sort of results!?
We were warned about the fact that due to this it may result in triplets...
so confused right now...
Just wondered if there was any stories ppl had about theirs.

Wow! How come you got an internal exam? Great news - although I expect the idea of triplets is a little daunting?! X

When u start clomid u get an internal (I think some get bloods but they offered me internal) got to see the eggs on screen and all sorts.
The thought is really daunting and we are thinking maybe not to go through with it, but then only one cud get ferilised.
So confused!!!!

Wow, that is a hard choice indeed and I guess, only one that you and OH can make... Let me know what you decide.

I am due to start clomid next cycle (maybe next week) but I already know I am getting a blood test and no more! I would love to have the internal too! X

Did they tell you what the likelyhood is of triplets?

They can't tell cus they don't know about mobility of oh's sperm mobility at the time and the placement of the eggs at time of intercourse etc. She said it's sooo hard to tell that they couldn't say, could be less than 50% could be more.
I don't know what to do. I don't think I could handle it but I want a baby so much I don't wana miss a good chance!

Hey there - I had 3 follicles the last 2 cycles and my DH's swimmers usually come out at about 90% motile with 51 million and we had been unsucessful so far. Its a roll of the dice every time, and 3 follicles does not mean 3 beans or even 1 bean. My clinic does IUI with 3 follicles, 4 and we would discuss with them, but 3 is the perfect, desired number.

Thank you zeezee! I need to hear things like that!! They did a measurement of my lining aswell and it was perfect so fingers crossed I get one sticky bean!!!!!!

HI Ladies,

this is my first cycle on clomid too 50mg...(due to dh swimmers) i had bloods done a few days ago and they told me i should be ovulating 2 eggs this cycle....i think i ovulated yesterday or today so we just went for it....

we have issues fertilising one egg so i'm just hoping having a bit more of a target may give DH swimmers a better chance?

I was also on 50mg of clomid and had a 10 day ultrasound (followed by trigger shot) to look at my follicles. I had two large...20mm and 18mm and one at 15mm. Unfortunately, our iui didn't work, but dh also has a low sc.

Well...we did the deed and will be doing it again tonight! hehe!
Specialist told me yesterday to do it every day for the next 5 days then every other day.
I also did an ovulation test yesterday and it cam back positive (extremely strong) never had one sooo strong before! (the specialist told me i would be ovulating within next 24 hours (obviously she could see...but i thought i would check )
So positive this month...this maybe my month!! Woop!
It would be soo lovely if it was cus it will be the first anniversary of my grandad passing away on sat and we have been trying to work out what to do for it...becoming pregnanct would be sooooo lovely! Cant think of anything better! xxx

The only symptom i have is tingling nipples...but im not sure if that dues to AF going to appear (dont normally get anything) or the clomid.

Hi - I got my BFP through clomid and IUI. I too had 3 large follicles and we were pretty worried about the prospect of twins/triplets. TBH though by that stage I just wanted a baby and thought that we'd just deal with whatever we got!

Well I have had two scans now - one at 5weeks and one at 7 weeks and there is only one baby in there! The three follicles are still there, supporting the pregnancy, so I feel like my one baby has lots of support!!!

Hi Im really interested in hearing if you get lucky this month. Im on my 1st round of clomid too an i have my scan tomorrow morning so Im hoping to see a few follicles also. And I love to hear a good success story.

I had a scan this morning (day 14) and have 3 large healthy follicles. At this point, I would be grateful for ANY baby. Even if it meant triplets!!!! He didn't mention anything to me about being worried about multiples or anything though. I think multiples are still a long shot, even with 3 follicles. They still all have to fertilize and implant. I mean, it's more likely on clomid, but the chance is still pretty slim.

Doc told me I should ovulate "soon". And I go back for bloodwork on 8/23. Hoping we all get our BFP's this month!!!!!
