Took my final clomid dose last night, and now the wait begins! It wasn't as bad as I thought...but it made me kind of sometimes. My husband had to navigate a mood swing here and there...poor guy! I've had a headache on and off, but it's usually gone by mid-afternoon. Also, my temps have been super high but I read that is common and they will come down and then rise again after ovulation.

Sometimes I think the wait up until o is just as hard as the 2ww--mostly because I just want to actually ovulate (and at the right time!) Hope this works.

So I'm CD15, OPKs fading into POS (which is normal for me, that they slowly darken over a few days) and today I had a temp drop (which I've also had before ovulation in the past).

I didn't think I'd ovulate till CD18 or so since this is my first cycle on Clomid, in the past I've ovulated as late as CD24.

Today I'm having some dull crampy feelings on the left side of my low low abdomen. They aren't sharp pains like you always hear about with ovulation pains. But I'm wondering if they are different because of the Clomid.

Anyone with a similar experience?

I'm CD 12 today, so just a couple of days behind you! I had EWCM today and cervix was soft and high, which usually happens for me 3-4 days before O. Last cycle I didn't get a +OPK until day 24, so who knows what this cycle will look like!

I get that dull crampy feeling bf O too...usually I notice it at night when I am lying down. Sounds like you're gearing up!!!

Done with my provera, took the last dose 2 nights ago.

I've been super crampy, boobs REALLY sore, and mood swings have been AWFUL- so I'm hoping is on the way, then I can start round 1 of clomid.

I'm at the end of my first cycle on clomid, and have a question...I'm having a very strange af (or lack of af). I normally spot a few days before af, but so far it is still just spotting for 4 days and it's gone from rose colored to brown...like at the end of af. Could this have been a really light af? My progesterone level was 40 so I know for sure I o'd and my temps confirm it. The doc says to wait until a day of flow to start the next cycle of clomid. I know I'm not pregnant because my bbt dropped this morning. I just don't want to mess up clomid cycle #2! Why is ttc so complicated sometimes? LOL!!

Clomid thins your lining which in turn causes you to have light periods. Check in with you Dr.. It's not going to be serious or anything but they may have some suggestions on improving your lining like vitamins or progesterone, etc.

Af finally arrived today!! YAY!!!! At least now I know I'm good to go for cycle #2. Anyone out there starting another cycle and wanting to be buddies?

Hey ladies! I took my first dose of Clomid last night. 50Mg. I woke up seems like every hour needing to drink water. My mouth was SO DRY. I guess it is not a bad price to pay for *hopefully * a baby! Also going to use pre seed, bbt, opks, and SMEP. Hope this is my magic baby formula!

UGH! The provera-induced period has been the WORST. So much clotting! I'll be glad to be done with it. I haven't been able to get out of bed for 2 days! I've been wearing an overnight pad all day. Today is the first day it's been light enough to get up!

So I'm on CD 3 today, and I get to take my 1st clomid pill (50 mg) tonight.

I'm really ready to have the whole period part done!

Im 27, and trying for my third. I have 7 year old twins, boy/girl. I've been trying for over a year now, and finally got prescribed Clomid. I have a choice if I want to take 50 or 100 mgs, and have a 6 month supply. I AM SO EXCITED!!! Ill be taking it days 3 thru 7, Im on a 24 day cycle for about 6 months now, and my period is due the 30th of August. I was on depo provera and everything is normal except that is taking so long to conceive, so now that everything is regulated my OB is giving me Clomid. I think shes sick of hearing from me so decided to try to help move things along..lol

My questions: Should I start with the 100 mgs? We have a wedding Sept 14, would it be horrible to drink moderately?

Sorry to hear your af was so miserable!! I'm on CD2 and will be starting round 2 of clomid tomorrow. I'm excited to get started. I'm in the midst of one of the worst af I've ever had. Will be so glad to have that over!!

A fertility specialist will usually prescribe 50mg to start off with, but then some prescribe 100mg to be safe you'll be pregnant 100mg is obviously a lil stronger. I have been pregnant from both 50mg and 100mg, i have also tried 150mg before but then not been pregnant soooo it varies. I suggest try 50mg for now, then 100mg next month.

Regarding drinking all to their own. It is a baby we're talking about though.. and baby's need all the nutrition and health it can get to get it off to a good start (as you know, your a mum hehe) so i wouldnt drink at all, but it is your body, whether it be non at all, a sip or a glass.

Is anyone in this thread from the States? i have just moved to Houston, Texas and was wondering what it's like here in terms of healthcare/clomid prescription;

1. How much does it cost on average to see a Dr when your on a family health fund? $80 for a general healthcheck?
2. I have taken clomid in australia, can i get clomid from a normal Dr here? (or do i need to see a specialist all over again here?)
3. How much is clomid here with a script?

Hello everyone, cane I join? I am going to the doctor on Thursday and they are going to do provera and clomid... I have never been on it. I am always told never google stuff, well I did and I read all these horrible stories about it. I am very nervous.

If you search for weeds in the garden of flowers you will always find them. The same goes for searching for negative things amongst all the good things about them. As with all medications there are side effects and various symptoms but for the most part provera & clomid are harmless and quite effective. My 6mth baby girl was the result of these medications in which i suffered no side effects.

Hi Ladies! Mind if I join in? I'm new to Clomid and will be taking my first dose this Friday!! I was put on 100mg, Days 5-9. Fingers X'd for all of us! Still trying to decide what time of day to take them... Anyone with suggestions?
