hi ladies i apologise for posting in here again as i arent actually a long term ttcer (thought i was with my 1st dd) so please tell me to bog off if you think me posting here in insensitive but you ladies know more on the subject of clomid and i am so fed up right now that i need to ask someone!
anyways has anyone been prescribed clomid by their g.p with without seeing a fs first?
after another long cycle af has arrived and doing my research i have read that clomid can be prescribed to help your cycles. i also seem to not ovulate properly either its the 2nd cycle in a row when my bodies tried to ovulate early and then it hasnt and i have then gone onto ov really late instead. i have had issues with ov and long cycles in the past too.
i am pretty sure theres a problem after having a scan this month that showed i would ov around 5 days later and i didnt ov til 2 weeks later.
i am awaiting on hormone results but i wont get them til the end of the month. am tempted to ring up and ask for them over the phone as this is killing me not knowing whats going on with my body and if there is a problem i want to know now at the begining of my cycle rather then later.
my consultant didnt seem too helpful when i saw her to have my hormones checked and i told her about my cycles and how i kept getting 2 lots of + opk at different points of my cycle. she just told me that opks arent reliable at detecting ov. wish she could be more helpful.
on the other hand i have a lovely lovely doctor who since losing jessicas has helped me so much and i want to talk about this with her but a) feel guilty that i am yet again asking her to help me and b) i am scared she might just be the same as my consultant and not seem worried about my long irregular cycles.
any advise you could give me would be really appreciated.
oh and also how much would it cost to go privately and are they more helpful with regards to trying to help you and are on your side as opposed to the nhs who are reluctant to help at all?
atm it feels like me against the world
