This is as close to positive opk as I have ever got but I'm still dealing with AF. Could it be that I'm about to ovulate as soon as AF is done (I'm on CD5 right now with a light flow. I suspect I'll be finished by tomorrow)? Or am I reading too much into this? My cycle is on the short side, 25 days with average 6 days of AF. Beginning to wonder if the reason I haven't noticed signs of od is because it happens sooner than I expect. Or this all could be nothing and I'm just looking for something positive because I want to see it.

How long is your luteal phase? I often have 25 day cycles too and tend to O on cycle day 12. My luteal phase is 13 days, so if yours is longer than that you might ov sooner then CD 12!

Take a look at your other secondary signs of fertility! That might give you more info on when your about to O!

It very well may be that you O much sooner. The only way to know for sure though would be to have a monitored cycle (docs hook you up to an US every couple of days) or just temp right through AF. Good luck!

You can have lh surges at any time in your cycle. Remember its not positive until its positive!

Keep on testing, if you don't temp you may want to consider starting.

Good luck!

Belle: I'm not exactly sure how long my luteal phase is. I've been tracking now for three cycles with opk, two cycles with opks + temping and tracking cm. Have never had a confirmed positive on opk and have had some challenges with BBT so far; my temps were too inconsistent for FF to identify od last cycle and am just starting cycle 2. Same with cm--I don't seem to produce a lot and have never seen any ewcm. closest I got was one day of watery last cycle. So in short, I'm still trying to pinpoint when/if ovulate occurs

abennion: thanks! I'm going to give it a couple more cycles before seeing a doc. I've got a lot of work travel coming up that will make regular doctors appointments for testing difficult for the next few months, but am in the clear by August. Figured we'd keep trying and tracking and if no BFP, at least I'll have a ton of data to show the doc

2ducks: yep I know. It's just the closest I've seen to both lines being equally dark which is why I was surprised. the line today was slightly less dark

Update: Got my first positive reading ever on the digital opk this morning--just one day after AF ended! I guess I o really really early in my cycle which could be why I couldn't figure out my od.

The odd thing is that I don't have any fertile cm at all right now. It's pretty dry in there (TMI I know) and what little cm I can gather is very sticky. I got some Mucinex (guaifenesin only) and some Preseed this morning to try and help with the BD tonight. I've never used either so if any of you have tips, I'm all ears.

DH is working late tonight and won't be home until close to midnight, so I'm worried we won't get the timing right this cycle. But at the very least, this info will help me a lot next cycle

Sooo...not sure what to make of this but I got two positive results on two different advanced digital opks around 7:30-8am this morning. Then used a cheapie opk with my second urine around 11:30 am and it was definitely negative and the second line was more faded then the day before. So I tested again with the cheapie this evening around 7:30 and the second line practically wasn't there at all. What gives? Was the positive reading this morning a mistake even though both digitals picked it up? Could I have already ovulated that quickly? The digitals had me at low yesterday and peak today, skipping over the high reading all together....I just don't get what's going on. Any thoughts?

It could have been a random lh surge. BD just to make sure and keep on testing.
