Cluster feeding already??

DD is 8 days old today, and has started feeding every hour, or constantly over a 2-3 hour period yesterday. Her sleep patterns were pretty consistent since we brought her home, but now it's all we can do to get her to sleep. Is it possible she's having a cluster feeding episode already?

Oh yeah, mine clusterfed from the minute my milk starting coming in... so day 3/4. Very normal.

Yeah my DD has pretty much been cluster feeding since day 1 as well. I'm thoroughly exhausted at this point :/

Yup, my LO fed round the clock for months, lol. I was sure there was something wrong (there wasn't)

Yes same with my little guy. It's has reduced during the day time. not so much over night

Yup. You've got the 1 week growth spurt to take in to account too, although for some the first few weeks are like one long growth spurt. Normal.

My youngest fed pretty much round the clock until she got to about six weeks. Even then I had to feed her every 2 to 2.5 hours for months. So yes, pretty normal but it does get better.
