Hey ladies,
So I bought a second hand Moses basket and was planning to use my stand from my daughter along with a new mattress......then we decided we weren't happy with a second hand Moses basket so sold it on eBay. Then we bought a new one but didn't fit on the old stand! So we then had to buy a new stand to go with it. Now we....well I should I say...have decided that after looking at the bedside cribs (the ones which the side drops down and it's like an extension of your own bed) I now feel that this would be the most suitable and lovely place for baby to sleep! I've had a lot of problems this pregnancy with scares from the anomaly scan and now we have got the all clear I feel like I could do to treat myself and baby! ;) the crib I saw was the Troll bedside crib in white which is gorgeous.

My question is have any of you ladies previously used a bedside/ co sleeper crib and how did you find it? Or have you chosen to purchase one for your upcoming baby?

Thankyou in advance x

We got this when my son was 8 weeks from amazon

It was around the £70 mark (mattress was seperate)and can honestly say it was one of the best purchases for him. We will be using it for this lo from the word go with a Moses basket down stairs.
If you're Breastfeeding all you need to do is pull baby over slightly! Amazing

That is beautiful! It's out of stock! Boohoo! I'm struggling to find many that are actually in stock! X

We've bought a mamas & papas bedside cot.
It's full size though so only need one as baby grows.

I found it on eBay for £100 so we will just need to get a new mattress.

Sounds good MrsTurner! And shortly after posting Anderson8 I found a new one on Amazon for £77 which is an absolute bargain compared to the Troll ones. I think ill definitely order it :) they are perfect for breastfeeding you're right! X

I'm getting ready to use m "Arms-Reach mini co-sleeper through my third baby. Love it! Solid, safe, durable.

This,I had one before and it was AMAZING!,You get the matress and bedding too and free delivery!https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221053603783?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Ahh jellybean that's the one I was going to get despite not liking the bedding I thought I could change it. But then I saw the same one from same seller on amazon and the reviews were really bad about the mattress being little more than a piece of foam not suitable for a baby and the bedding not being cotton and the gap at both sides being too large! Put me off! So I've gone for one on amazon. Good to hear everyone has good reviews of them all though! Xx

Ive binned the bedding that come with it as i hated it too but i couldn't turn down a co sleeper at that price,Also haven't bothered with the canopy thing either,I put the co sleeper up when i got it and its really nice and sturdy too,Glad you got it sorted

Anyone know why consumer reports is against co-sleepers? I wanted to go with arms reach as well.
I googled it and saw a recall but it seems to be from people not assembling it correctly.

There has been reports of babies suffocating by getting stuck up against the sides and I read a couple incidents of baby getting stuck b/t parent matress and crib (tho not sure how).(and this was just stuff I read on internet by googling around and I can't recall if they were from reputable agencies or not...would have to look again...) I think it was very few incidents. A women has recently posted on Amazon about her baby wiggling enough to get up against the side and when she woke up he was blue, but she got him to hospital and he is okay. She said that whatever agency it is that investigates this sstuff came out to her house and did an investigation. Anyways, I think that might be why, but I've never seen anything about a recall. I don't think that there have been many incidents tho, probably the same as a bassinet or any other solid sided baby sleeping thing.

If you assembe it correctly it is great! Can be attached to bed, used separately, or convert to a play yard. If you have a extra high bed, the company makes risers for it and you can buy extra sheets/etc on amazon.
When attached properly with the straps, it is solid against the mattress, and the sides are mesh so I don't see how a baby could suffocate there any more so than any other sleeping place. Just like anything, use common sense. No extra bedding, follow instructions, etc.

Agree with Catherine that it seems if attached correctly it would work fine. A lady even said (on an Amazon review) that her baby had slid b/t her mattress and crib, but said she didn't have it attached!! So I'd assume that would be the reason of any reports of baby getting stuck b/t the two. The review by the women who woke up to a blue baby, not sure if she had a mesh sided one or not (doesn't seem so with her report, unless the mesh is up against parent mattress...don't know as I don't have one and she didn't say in her post) Common sense with anything.

Hi There! Was reading your post re: co-sleepers. Just wondering which one you ended up purchasing and how you like it? I am expecting our third baby and usually had the other two in our bed in a little bed of his own....but since my youngest is 22 months, he still comes into our bed around 3 or 4am...I can't have them both in our bed and don't have the heart to turn him away so was thinking I could have a co-sleeper beside and still have room for a toddler every now and again. Is it working out for you?
