I know coffee is not good to drink when you are pregnant. I drink about 2-3 cups in the morning. I know eventually I am going to have to switch to decaf however, do you think this affects getting pregnant now? It is always in the back of my mind.

I am currently going through medical school and had just learned about this. Coffee and caffeine in general can affect chances of getting pregnant and a mans sperm count. Caffeine/coffee in moderation (I'd say one cup a day) is perfectly fine. Also, there are several fertility books I had read to back this information up. If you are not too far from a library, maybe check some of those books out. They are very helpful!

Good luck on your TTC journey! :)

well I went from haveing 3 periods a year, then stopping coffee and now getting regular periods. So maybe there is something that it triggers in the body? I have PCOS this is prob why it doesnt help me.

I was always curious about this as well. I have cut down drastically...down to one med coffee a day...once and a blue moon I will skip, but rarely. I dont always drink it all, so I feel better when i dont. I dont drink soda...only club soda/seltzer and mostly water. Still not preg.
I see all these people that drink and smoke and god only knows what else, and they get preg at the drop of a hat....so I figured im allowed my coffee just as long as I dont go on an espresso binge.

Alot of TTC is in the mind. That is why alot of women who spend years TTC decide to stop and give up. Once they do that, they get pregnant. All because they are no longer thinking about it all the time. But, once you know all the information behind ovulation, it messes with your head and thus causes stress on the body. :(
