Is it correct that Madison is a very common name for women/girls in US?

I think that is is fairly common. Most girls named Madison that I know are called "Maddy" for short.

maddison/madison is a name that started in the US and whenever ive spoken to friends in the US they most of them talk about friends either called madison or have friends calling their babies madison.

its also growing in popularity in the UK as well. ive already got three friends who've got maddisons and i went to school with a madison. xx
