L as stopped my numbers from working ...what as she pressed and how do i fix it

Normally on the top set of keys next to F12 but could be anywhere x

in the effort to solve your problem i cocked up my own laptop lol

if you have done the same as me try the function key (fn) and f11 or 12

ive actually found randomly bashing the keyboard usually works

try fn and whatever key says numlk or scrlk

i did exactly the same as you but did fn and f11 at the same time and it came back to normal

it's not the number lock judging by your mixed up reply further up!! When holding the FN button, press F11 (or whichever key has a small pic of a padlock with a number in it, or says 'num. lock'). That should stop your crazy letter/number situation.

As for the numbers not working, do you mean the numbers along the top? the ones that have all the special symbols like !"£$%^& etc?
