ok maybe TMI but i need to ask and it may sound like a stupid question, i dont always have an orgasm when me and DH have sex  do u think it increases ur chances if you do?

apparently the contractions they cause help the swimmers on the way but dont think its the be all and end all
xx

If an orgasm was necessary to conceive, then all women would be able to have orgasms during sex. I'm not so lucky unless I get, ahem, an extra hand of help, but I have a good time either way so I don't worry about it.

I don't think anyone has ever done any studies on it, so there isn't really an official yes or no from science.

I concieved two daughters with o and 1 without, so think it can help but not necessary...i mean half the population wouldnt be here if that was the case.......

Lets be honest, what is the percentage of women who are lucky enough to orgasm during actual intercourse????

I know I don't...don't actually know anyone who does. It's why the good Lord invented foreplay.

I actually created a thread the same as this in ttc but didnt get much of a response!!

I was asking if it was important to orgasm after your parter as I have heard it does make a difference, I have no problem before my partner, but have never been able to after my OH as he finds that it stings as soon as he has!!

Anyone else had this??

Thanks girls and good luck!!

come on now stop showing off!!!
oh read that wrong, thought you wrote you always have them!!

I think it helps as yes the contractions draw the semen up through the cervix, but as others have said it's not always necessary else there would be a lot fewer babies in the world.

Great thread!!

I read that it helps to draw the swimmers up as your muscles contract. We've tried it a few times but it's not got us anywhere. Great fun trying the theory out though

yeh I agree Welly, great thread!!

I am getting to the stage where I will try anything now, even if it does make OH's bits sting!!hehe!!

I am new and can't post a link. But I just read that the fallopian tubes have their own contractions when the egg enters - this helps move the egg to the uterus and helps sperm to meet egg.

Too bad we didn't feel these contractions in the way we feel those from the O.

Sorry - I tried to post the link to the article. No can do until I've posted here a while.
But you can search for contraction in the fallopian tubes and you might be able to find it as well.

I believe it does help... OH helps me to O before and after sex... and honostly if he can get me to O twice hardly any :spermy::spermy::spermy: come out afterwards....:blush::blush:

Just a little overshare sorry... but even if u can get ur OH to orgasm first and then he purely just focusses on u to O afterwards.. give it a try!!!! got nothing to lose....

Sometimes I do sometimes I don't but if I haven't I do pelvic floors as I guess it's a similar kind of movement/contraction to O contraction?! I could be completely wrong of course!

xxxxxxxxxx

I O atleast twice () every time now but before I had Caitlyn I never did. She was conceived so easily, and now I can't seem to conceive! :dohh:

If I don't O during intercourse, DH or I have a little "play" afterwards. Or I do the pelvic floor excercises!

i could be completely wrong here girls but i thought that doing pelvic floors actually pushes the sperm the wrong way!?

I can see how O-ing after your man would help draw them up though.

This thread, o boy. If it's true Oing makes you more fertile, I keep thinking of how bloody fertile my mum, nan etc were and I wanna barf... ha ha ha! x

IF it were true that O helps you get pregnant then I definitely should have had a BFP by now and I've never had even a sniff so it can't be true :-(

I try and contract inwards after he has come. I'm scared to do pelvic floor in case I let any out!
