Conception Date???

Hi Girls,

I need your help working out my conception date.
I am due the 17th August and work my conception date out to be the 11th Nov as i am 14 weeks + 5 days, but when i put it on some websites it says my conception date was the 25th Nov, but that would make me only 12 weeks + 5.
Can anyone help me as to when my conception date was ?

I don't know if this will help, but I'm due on the 31st July and apparently (according to some websites) my conception date was the 7th November. If my adding up is right then your conception date would be the 25th November.

Hope it helps - I have no idea about this stuff though so don't bank on me being right!

The weeks of your pregnancy do not start on your conception date, but on your first day of your LMP, which was probably 2 weeks before your conception date. This is why the two week discrepancy.

My due date is 15th August (from scan) and I'm pretty sure that my conception date was 25th November (OPK was positive 24th Nov), but to have conceived then I would be due around 17th/18th August. I guess baby must have been slightly bigger! If it helps your dates should be very similar to mine which are LMP -13 Nov, Conception 25 Nov - Making you almost 15 weeks too!

It sounds like Leeane's right on the money!

And to add a little wrench to the business, unless you know exactly when you ovulated, you can't be sure of your conception date as your egg would only live to be fertilized 12 to 24 hours passed ovulation. Doctors can estimate the size of your baby, and accurately determine your due date and fetal age.

If you know you ovulated on the 11th then you can assume conception took place sometime between then and 24 hours later.
