Its up to you. There's a financial benefit sometimes in that follow on milk often has offers. However there's no real need to switch from infant milk nutrition wise although they do claim it better supports weaning (not 100% sure its true). r I did switch with Dd and will with ds too but that's my personal preference.
There is no need to change formula at all. stage one milk is fine until the age of 1 if your baby is happy on it. They only invented follow on milk in order to be able to advertise. There is no evidence for it being better for the baby once solids are being introduced. Sometimes it is on offer which might sway your decision, but I don't often see these offers so I don't reckon you'd save a right lot. You can collect the supermarket points on follow on milk though.
