Confused about OPK results. Can you help?

I posted this in OPK Tests and didn't get any responses, so I'm trying here. I know this is not quite positive but I'm confused as to why it is so dark.

I had a tubal reversal three weeks ago. AF was due today and is a no show but yesterday for about an hour, I felt like I was having O pains but it turned out to just be needing to have a BM and it went away. My O pains start in the morning and last until after bedtime.

Anyway, I peed on an OPK anyway and it came back looking like this. I know I'm not pregnant as i haven't even had sex in a few months. Do OPKs get this dark the day AF is supposed to show?

They can, I ran out of HPTs two months ago so I used that same brand to check and it was even darker than your result, but I wasn't pregnant. I've heard of women getting slight surges before AF.
