Confused by tests

I had a miscarriage over New Year (started 30th Dec). Hospital told me on 8th jan my hcg levels had dropped from 1984 to 970. They told me to take another test 3 weeks later to check hcg levels had gone back to normal.
I’m a bit obsessed with taking tests as were desperate for a baby. So since 10th jan I have been doing cheap pregnancy and ovulation strips. My pregnancy strips have been gradually getting lighter but the ovulation test have been positive every day ‍
So I bought a digital ovulation kit and got a peak first time on 15th jan so we had sex. The cheap ovulation tests are only just starting to lighten up but the digital is back to low.
Skip to today I done a clear blue pregnancy test and it’s positive but the cheap ones still negative. I thought the cheap ones are more sensitive so technically it should be the other way round. I don’t know if it’s a new pregnancy or left over hcg ‍ I rang the EPU at Hospital and they said to test again in a week. I just want to know!

What cheap tests are u using? I know the one step ones are not that sensitive.
What CB test did u use.
Really hope this is a new pregnancy.
