Hi ladies! I am 10 dpo and I tested this morning. Went to the bathroom, peed on the FRER, and as soon as the urine hits it, this pink line forms on the horizontal (how come??) together with the control line!! Then after a minute or less, the horizontal line disappears and a very faint vertical line shows up in the test line. I was so surprised. The line was soooo faint, but it was there -- I kept saying "a line is a line, a line is a line"... I even thought about waking DH to tell him. But after an hour of staring at it, I thought it got even fainter, even harder to see, but still there. Very weird... I took the test apart and there is something there, very very faint, but there is definitely some pink.

Then I go and do the most stupid thing -- POAS again, with 3rd morning urine and get a flat BFN! Do you think the first test was just defective or a possible early positive?? I'm so confused now.

Very hard to get a false positive although it can happen. The FMU would have worked because the hormone is stronger in the morning when you haven't peed for a while. Best to wait two days then test again with FMU. Good luck. xx

I echo this xx

Take another test tomorrow morning, and if it is still there, then I would say it is positive. Good luck!

I'm so disappointed at FRER... I tested this morning (11dpo) and BFN. The line from yesterday's test is still there, however faint it is there. So I think I got a false positive. The weird thing about yesterday's test was that I saw this horizontal pink line going from the control line to the test line, so maybe the control line bled into the test line giving me a "positive"??

This is the worst -- thinking you got a bfp, when it was probably just a defective test. Heartbreaking... Thanks for comments ladies!

Wow, never heard of a FRER going wrong, although I had one with no control line once.
If you phone them up and complain they will send you a new one or a voucher xx

You should take a pic :)

yeah, I have never heard of FRER going wrong either... Maybe my first test wasn't wrong and I had a chemical pregnancy. Or, I was reading that tests in the same box can have different sensitivity (although they say they pick up 25 ml, some of the tests, even in the same box, can be more sensitive than that). We'll see, time will tell, but I dont have my hopes too high. i really think it was a chemical...

I'm sorry. Will you test again hun?
