My DH (dear husband) & I have been TTC for almost 5 years now. We have seen 2 separate fertility specialists, tried all sorts of OTC options, had 3 failed IUI attempts, and have had LOTS of sex trying to time it to hit the proper window. Currently we are trying at home insemination. We tried out first round last month which was also a dud and didn't work. We have read quite a bit on at home insemination and seen that couples had pretty good results in 1-5 rounds so we are going to continue giving it a shot.

So this cycle has been a bit odd. We starting using the Clear Blue Ovulation kits. The ones that give you a blank circle if you're not fertile, a flashing smiley face if your surging, & a solid smiley face if your at your peak. Last month we got our peak on day 15. However, today is day 18 and had yet another flashing smiley face. Is it possible that I am just ovulating later this month?

Would love ANY insight on the ovulation topic, home insemination tips/success stories, or any other suggestions from those who are TTC or had for a long time and then found success.

For reference I attached my BBT temp chart as well.

Thank you so much in advance for all the responses!

Did you have any other signs of ovulation? Fertile CM, ovulation pains? It might be that your body geared up to ovulate and then for some reason decided not to. Sometimes things like illness or stress can delay it. This second surge could be your body trying again? If I was you I would keep testing to see if you get a solid face smiley again and then if possible do another insemination and then you know you've covered all bases x
