Confused

We discovered i was pregnant on July 28th this year... we went for our 12 week scan on september 5th and were told that we had suffered a missed miscarriage.. i had no typical miscarriage signs which made it more difficult to accept..

The following day i had a D&C and was told that all "product" (such a cold term) had been removed.. I had bleeding after the op for 5 days... We were advised not to have intercourse for 2 weeks following surgery..

We waited the 2 weeks and have made love since... i now am patiently awaiting a period... i have slight cramps,have been sick on 2 separate occassions,have had stitch type pains all of which i experienced last time i was pregnant... I have done 2 home pregnancy tests which have been negatve..

Am i just too early doing the tests????? does a negative test mean that my hcg levels are back to normal??????? could i be pregnant?????????

Just wanted to let you know...I had a natural m/c Aug 6th and was told by my doctor to wait a month, but i ended up with a BFP just 6 weeks after. So yes, it is possible to get pregnant again so soon after a m/c. My clue was the way my areolas looked (Huge!). So good luck and fx'd for you! Baby Dust!

thanx for replyin..... Dont know whether im just getting my hopes up to quickly.... the cramps i have feel like period pains but not as painful and the come and go... i have discovered a milky discharge earlier... i have no sign of bleeding not even spotting....... i felt a fluttering earlier today but had nothing since..... its probably all in my head as i was so excited to be pregnant for the 1st time... we know we want to try for another baby but dont know how i would feel if i was pregnant now....

I had a missed miscarriage on september 6th and a d&c on september 7th.... I had a bleed for 5 days immediately after the procedure.. I have done a pregnancy test and it vsme back negative so i guess my hcg levels came back down to zero.... I had a period on october 17th and lasted 5 days.... I began bleedin again on friday nite but it came and went.. We made love on saturday nite as the bleeding had stopped... It came back sunday morning but by midday it went away again... It started again today.... Does this mean u cid still be ovulating or is this what is known as implantation bleeding.... We really want to be pregnant again.....

I think you're testing too early hun if you've not long finished your period. I had a mmc in july wasn't told anything about trying again or bascially anything that was happening was just given a leaflet about miscarriage. Had a normal period 5 weeks after natural mc finished then found out I was pregnant again when next one was due. So I caught within 4/5 weeks..very quickly and I have read stories of women becoming pregnant within a week after mc/dnc. So it can happen!
I would wait another week and test again..good luck hunni..I know when I got pregnant again it helped with losing one (but 1st one obviously never forgotton)

It can take quite a while to ovulate again after a D&C, so the negative pregnancy test may simply mean that you aren't pregnant and haven't even ovulated yet, or you could be pregnant and it may be too early for the test to be accurate. What you can be sure of though is that you no longer have a significant level of HCG in your blood stream from your previous pregnancy which is usually what needs to happen before you can ovulate again the next time.
