Hi there.I'm a first timer to forums and viable pregnancy. After 2 ectopics and 6 m/c i am now 6 weeks pregnant after 1st cycle IVF. i had pain yesterday and a slight show. Went to hosp had scan, seen heartbeat. but still in pain. It's like a sharp pain in lower abdomen.Nurses disnt seem concerned but i am still worried. Any advice ? LOL:wacko:

Hey babe, everyone gets pains in the first few weeks. Are they like period pains? If so it is normal. Not everyone gets a show but reading on here it is pretty common, I had a pink discharge a couple of weeks ago, it stopped after 1 day and all seems to be ok now, try not to worry too much, I know it´s difficult tho. As you saw a heartbeat I´d say that´s good. Just rest and take care of yourself XXX

I agree with Charliepops. Everything you described sounds completely normal, but it's still so hard not to worry isn't it? Good luck :hugs: I hope you have a happy and healthy nine months!

I had alot of pain and bleeding in the first tri. It's pretty normal for some people :)

Wow, sorry you had to go through what you have! Prayers for a viable and healthy pregnancy!

It could also be the round ligament that surrounds and support the uterus. I had a horrible time with mine, and they really freaking hurt.

Hey sorry to hear you're in pain!!
Know it might sound strange but could it be trapped wind?
This can be very painful and happens in your lower abdomen.
It is particularly common in pregnancy due to a slower digestive tract, I've had it several times and the first time i had it went to the docs it was that painful(felt like someone was stabbin me in the tummy), he explained it may be trapped wind, had scan to double check and bean was fine.
Peppermint tea helps with trapped wind.
Good luck hope the pain goes ery soon
xxx

You have been through a tough time to have this LO. Pains are relatively normal all through the pregnancy with everything changing shape and getting bigger. So is slight bleeding, pinky, or brown discharge. Try not to worry, easier said than done, I should know !!!!
I have everything crossed for you. The fact that you've seen the heartbeat is really really positive.
:hugs:
