His middle name is my brother's name, so he can't go by that (too confusing in the family). Yet another reason I hesitate to change the name, because I wouldn't want to change the middle but some first name options don't go well with it.
I like Everett on paper and when I say it in my mind, but not when people say it out loud. Weird. I'm working on it, though.
Big thanks to everybody for weighing in. It's nice to hear that I'm not alone -- some of you end up not liking your child's name that much, but end up living with it. As long as you don't regret and cringe every time it's said, I guess that's ok. Marriage and family life is a compromise, after all....
