Contacts Or Glasses?

I wear my glasses inside, but put my contacts in for going out

I wear contact lenses - only take them out before I go to bed. I'm thinking about getting some glasses but I don't think I'll get used to them, so can't warrant spending the money on a pair.

I'm shortsighted with astigmatism in both eyes that keeps shifting apparently so my eyes keep changing so not currently a candidate for laser surgery and I've tried contacts a few times and my eyes were just too sensitive so it's jamjar glasses all the way for me because I can't justify paying an extra 300 quid for lens thinning!!

I used to wear glasses. I'm allergic to contacts. I had correction surgery 16 years back (there was no LASIK back then). I was 16 but never regretted it.

omg where do you go to get yours thinned? The thinning I'm getting done is £90 and that's the most expensive one at specsavers x

The thinning of the lens on my eyeglasses is really expensive too. I go to LensCrafters and it's, I'd say a good 1/3 of the cost of the glasses!!

I wear glasses for work as im surgically attached to my laptop all day and i also wear them to watch TV and to drive.

I dont wear them out and about generally tho and ill only pop some contacts in for an ocassion, like wedding/event etc...

I wear both and I work at specsavers. While I've been on maternity leave I've mainly been wearing my glasses, but I got fed up of constantly cleaning little fingerprints off them so I'm wearing my lenses more now.

I had glasses for a few months when I was about 9 and my eyes somehow corrected themselves!

That's about what I've been quoted at Specsavers in the past here! :(
I just pick thick plastic frames instead and it kinda disguises them but they still stick out a bit!

I am very nearsighted and usually pop my contacts in first thing and take them out last thing. I feel really kind of dowdy and unkempt in my glasses, so I almost never wear them. However, I recently used one of those online companies and managed to get some really pretty glasses for very cheap, so I now have a few pairs kicking around and wear them more.

I've worn glasses since I was 15 x I went to daily disposable contacts 3 years ago & I've now gone to monthly disposables x
I hate wearing my glasses, especially in the summer when all I want to do is buy a cheap pair of sunglasses rather than expensive horrible prescription ones x

For as much as I spend time on the computer (almost 8-10 hours/day), I still somehow have good vision. My DH wears contacts more often than not, unless he's in a lazy mood - then he wears his glasses.
