Contractions only on one side?

I have been having Braxton hicks contractions on and off, but the thing is they are only on my right side. My whole right side gets hard. I asked my dr yesterday if that was typical, and he said no an really couldnt give me a good explanation. (I was a little peeved by this). I'm 39 weeks by the way. Anyone else experience this or have ideas? Thanks!

Yep its totally normal for braxton hicks to just be a portion of your uterus ( top,bottom,side)!
