Copying the best form of flattering!!!

A bit of a rant so sorry!!

Lately I've noticed my SiL is copying everything i do and it's starting to p*** me off!!!
It all started last year when we were discussing plans for babies I said we were going to be trying at Christmas, at this time she hadn't had plans to have another baby. She came across as though she didn't want another! Next time we spoke and she says she is going to be trying and we can be fat together!!! Anyway she fell pregnant straight away and we decided we would wait 6 months. Thankfully those 6 months went very fast!!

Anyway in the early days she started discussing names and mentioned a boys name that I have always said I wanted my mum was quick to say to her that I wanted that name. Then she wanted the same middle name as I have always said I was having as it is after my dad, she has the family name as a surname.

To past the time and keep us busy me and my oh decided to do up the house, next minute she is wanting to do everything in her house and keeps moaning that my oh does everything I ask or want while her's, my brother is lazy and doesn't know how to paint!!!

Now I just had been speaking to my mum and she was telling me that the 2nd of my two names for boys has made it onto her faves list!!!

We are very close but she really just does my head in!!! I can't say or so anything without her copying me. Sorry for the rant just needed to let it all out.

Like you said its a top form of flattery! But she isn't going about things the right way. Try not to let her get to you too much.

if your worried that she could use your name that you want hun and to see if she is copying you i would find a name, a really nice one that she would probably really like and casually say oh i do really like this name what do you think, would go lovely with this and that and etc etc. and see if that pops up on her list of favourites. or another thing is find out what else is on there for example say thomas is on there then go about saying how you really like the name thomas and that its on the top of your list of names you like and that your really considering it to be your little mans name when you have a baby, that way if she really is that petty she will more than likely use it cos she will think that you want it but shes going to have it instead and beat you to using it blah blah blah!
i know how you feel though. i had a friend who had the name scarlette picked out for her little girl, two days before she went into labour just under a month ago we were sat talking about names and i said how i liked the name lola-faith for a girl. next thing i know her boyfriend sent everyone a message 'a message from Bekah'hey girls little lady has arrived, 10 past 2 this afternoon, 6lbs7oz, we've called her Lola-faith, our little lolly pops! cant wait for you all to meet her, lots of love and hugs Bekah and Lola (lolly) xxx' i was seriously p*ssed off knowing that they had gone on for months telling everyone they were calling her scarlette and then me opening my big mouth two days before she goes into labour she stole my name! ggrrrr

never again though ive found another name i really like and im not telling anyone lol xx

Oh my god, that would seriously annoy me! So sorry she did that to you!

I have to learn to keep my mouth shut!! If I had she prob wouldn't be pregnant now and I would!!
