hi . i had one on my left ovary i was told its nothing to worry abt thats whats feeding the baby in early preg something to do with progesterone :flower:

I had one at my 6 week scan also. They told me it was common and nothing to worry about.

thanks ladies... i guess now its been a couple of weeks since my scan im starting to worry alls ok... i know were all like that roll on that 12 weeks scan... its like the holy grail at mo..lol x

hehehe tell me about it iv had 2 scans and still terrified . not got my 12 week one in yet . think ill stalk my midwife to hurry it up lol

Haven't had a scan since 8w (not due for one until 20w now)... but at my 8w, the u/s tech said that my corpus luteum cyst was on my left ovary. She said that it's normal for it to be there and it's what to blame when you're sick early on - as that's where the progesterone and other early hormonal "fun" comes from.

Just so all you women know, every single pregnant woman has one of these. They're there to sustain the pregnancy with hormones (progesterone and hcg) until the placenta starts working and then it shrinks down. Sometimes, it grows larger and can cause some pains.
