Hi Ladies,
could do with some opinions here, because I'm due to have my baby mid jan, we're not spending Christmas day with family this year, to far to travel to see them at that late in my pregnancy,
so my OH and I are looking to go out for lunch, never having done this before I've no idea what a *reasonable* price is to pay for a 3 course lunch at a nice family run business on Christmas day.

Can people share some thoughts on what they would expect to pay if going out for lunch?

Thanks.

I'd say about the same. There will prob be a lot that are more expensive though, so its up to you on your limit really :) x

I've seen upto £55 at a very nice pub/restaurant nearby. I seem to recall it was 5 course.

I'd say £40-50 PP but I live in Edinburgh and I'm sure it differs all around the country.

It does really depend where you go but generally i think around £40 pp xx

Id say around here your average is like £29.95 for a 3 course

Wow alot of x-mas dinners are very cheap! Around here its like £50 + , athough we find one place that does it for £35 and thats classed as a bargain :)

prob should have mentioned i'm in London so thats always going to hike the price up,
seems the average we've been quoted is between £35-£45 a head.

thanks for all your responses

We are paying £40 per adult and £25 for children ...under 5 free .... 3 course meal glass of wine and coffee and mints ...The place we are going is the only one open with 10 miles so guess they can charge what they want but ive been 3 yrs in a row and its lush

I would say about that as well and am also in the south west!
I think the other prices people have quoted are about right for a set 3 course meal around xmas time, office parties and the like but actually on xmas day its a LOT more.
