Cost of formula?

Neither of mine were big drinkers so it was about one tub every week (so £9.49 a week) until 5 months when they got though a tub every 5 days until weaning, then once weaned it fell to one tub lasting 10 days plus. So I spent an average £8-12 a week depending on their ages.

We spend on average nearly £50 a month on formula, we buy aptamil which is nearly £10 per tub and we buy 5 tubs a month.

When I switched to formula the cost was a big shock to me. If you're worried about finances I'd look into bfing. I saved a ton by bfing for 9 months.

I brought in bulk so brought 13 boxes for 130quid but that was for 6 months :)

I can't remember, my husband does all the money stuff..
I buy Hipp organic, £7.99 a box, and it peaked at six months, that was prob a five/six boxes a month? Now we're weaning it's much cheaper though and I sometimes get follow on on offer but prefer the 1st baby milk.
I wanted to breastfeed for cost amongst other things, didn't work out for me and I pumped for a month then moved. I act love FF but not the cost!

My lo will only take the ready made and I go thru a case of 24 in 6 days...so thats $3every 6 days...about $200 a month.

$24 a week for us so quite expensive.

I use nestle.good start and regular price is $28.50 and one can lasts about 5 days. Usually I spend at leSt $150 month on formula

Formula must be cheaper in Europe! We spend 223.00 a month and our son is only 5 weeks however, he's on an expensive one for allergies.

The cheapest ones are £7.99 (around $12.18) per tub. They do of course drink more of it in those early months. Our girl is down to 3/4 bottles a day now. Specialist milks for an intolerance are available on prescription and therefore would be free.

One tin a week of stage 2 (6-12 months) Aptimal Gold + which is $22.95 a tin

Wish we could get it for free with a prescription! Super jealous of the free health care system over there. I've never seen formula as low at 12.18 so still cheap to me for the cheapest!
