I just had a sudden thought, is cough medicine ok while breastfeeding? I've been taking some for 2 days. It has hydrobromide and dextromethorpan in it. It's for a dry cough.

No idea hun, but this might help :flower:

Both of them are not recommended when BF: the first one as it is a decongestant and could dry up your milk (even though its in a dry cough medicine, go figure) and the second one is an anti-cough agent basically it stops your muscles spasming and thus stops the cough-this is potentially dangerous though I doubt a few doses will have done any harm.
