Could my sister be having a MC? UPDATED: It's been confirmed :(

Hi girls

I need some advice regarding my little sister(she is 21)

She just rang me and said that for the last 2 weeks she has been losing brown blood and thought her period had just got a bit out of whack! also her bleeding started a week early.
Well over the weekend the bleeding stopped so her and her BF had sex, afterwards she said she was in agony and started bleeding bright red blood, it is so heavy she has soaked her PJ's and bed linen.

I dont know what to say to her or what advice to give as i have never been through this, she isnt trying for a baby but she isnt preventing either.

Does this sound like she could be having a MC? if so what can she do as she is sticking her head in the sand saying she is ok.
I live 200 miles from her and am worried sick, i'm sorry to post here but i didnt know what else to do.

Im really sorry leah that this is happening to her. Although it doesnt mean that she is having a mc. I would get her to go to A&E or her docs to get checked over ASAP.

I hope that all goes well for her.

Thanks hun, i have told her to get to a Dr asap but she is just being all silly saying its nothing.... I just dont know what to do

I would get her to phone NHS direct if she wont go to the hospital. I would definitely recommend them as they give very good advice.

Thanks hun, she has now phoned NHS direct after alot of nagging from me and they said it could be a MC but to see a DR and she has now got an appointment at 4.40!

Hi girls, well my sister went to the Dr and they confirmed she is/has had a MC, she is on antibiotics and been told if the bleeding gets worse to goto A&E. I feel so helpless being so far away, luckily her BF is being great and supporting her 100%

Awww, Leah, just seen this,. how sad for your sister and worrying for you.

Hopefuly it won't be too bad for her as she is now under medical care, and I hope she isn't too upset....my SIL lost a baby she didn't know about and found it a lot easier to deal with that than the one she subsequently lost that was planned.

Thanks Lyns, she is acting so calm on the phone so i dont think its hit her yet,...but she knows i am here 24/7. I just hope me and her BF can help her through when it hits her as we are the only ones who know.
