Could use some help... Betas

Hi everyone,I'm new here and am in need of some support if you wouldn't mind...I'm 39 years old, have a son who's 3 and was pregnant last year but miscarried in January around the 8 week mark.I'm pregnant again and am about 6 weeks.

Given the fact that I had an MC last year, my doctor brought me in for blood tests.At about 5w2d, my HCG was 10,500 and progesterone was a little over 16.At about 5w4d, HCG was 15,200 and progesterone went to 14.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any success stories that are similar. I'm worried that the progesterone went down and that the percentage of HCG increase is only a little over 43%.

I'm terrified of having another MC and every twinge, shift or decrease makes me think I'm headed down that road again.Any support is appreciated.Thanks!

once you get that high the numbers really dont double anymore. ask your doc if (s)he thinks you should be on progesterone supplement (can't hurt). but unfortunately there is nothing else you really can or can't do to make it stick. the numbers do sound good though. you are pretty close to far enough along to do an us (i wouldnt recommend sooner than 7 weeks or so. although many many people do see a heartbeat sooner, you don't always and then it is nerve wracking going back in.. better to just wait long enough in the first place). *hug* and good luck
