Hii All,
Does anyone know if we can pre make up bottles with the cow and gate number 1 milk?
I know you can with SMA gold but we switched to cow and gate comfort for constipation etc and it used to split so you couldnt pre make them up.

Can anyone help? x

i use cow and gate comfort and premake. They just need a good shake xx

Ooh, we switched to Cow&Gate tonight because SMA Gold was giving LO green poo and HV said that was bad. She seems to enjoy the taste of it more now, even if it is only one bottle a night!
So yes, I'll be watching this thread with interest, basically :)

just bumping up the thread, can anyone else help too?

Iv never pre made bottles but you could try wat I do, if making a 6 oz bottle boil the kettle and put3oz in the bottle, then refridgerate. When it gets to feeding time, just boil the kettle, add the extra 3oz and this added to cool makes perfect temp. Xx

I do the same as Lauram22 :)
It's a lot easier for us lol! Although I just leave the bottles out at room temp and do 4ozs cool and then 2 ozs hot. Or 3ozs hot if im making a 7oz bottle.

by adding the hot water to cold water, the hot water instantly cools and wont sterilise the powder. Just so your aware x

On the packet it tells you to boil the kettle then wait 30 mins, by this time it's not boiling anyway so Im not sure it's much different? Just an idea for her away x

I always premake the bottles.
LO was on cow and gate to start with and it was fine, so was the SMA, just gave it a good roll.

I was always told this but LO is now on sma staydown which MUST be made with cold boiled water and ideally served at rom temp.
You don't add the powder until you need the feed (and the water must be cold).
Odd.
