Cramping 3 wks After Early Miscarriage

I had a natural miscarriage around the end of Dec. I was only approx 5 weeks and it all appeared quite straightforward. On 5th Jan EPAU told me my Beta HCG was 13, my bleeding stopped on 6th Jan.

After the bleeding finished I had intense pains in my left ovary for about 4 days, my gp felt that it was just my hormones returning to normal and the fact that I have pcos, I was given some stronger pain relief medication. He also said that the m/c appeared to be complete.

The ovary pains stopped after 4 days and I felt physically fine. I did a home pregnancy test on 12th Jan which was negative so felt was finally returning to normal.

On 13th Jan I noticed what seemed excessive clear watery discharge much more than I ve ever usually get. I constantly felt as though I was leaking but at the same time it felt as though there was far more than there actually was.

I still have the discharge although today it seems slightly less. Yesterday evening I noticed a dull backache which got uncomfortable so I went to bed and it was gone this morning. About an hour ago the same type of backache has returned and I have cramps mainly down the left of my abdomen, they arent horrific but enough to be bothersome and for me to take some pain relief which so far doesnt seem to be effective. I also feel very emotional which is unusal for me and really tired and drained

Im just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar - prior to the miscarriage I never used to get ovulation or period pains so maybe its an indicator of one of those.

I am a worrier but just thought Id post & see this seems normal

Sorry can't be that much help... but I think that if it goes on then maybe you should go back to your doc again as they may see if there is another cause?

Cheers Widger - havent a clue either & knowing my docs they prob wont either lol, just feel so uncomfortable at the min, will have to see what happens I guess

I'm in the same posistion as you hun. Early M/C at the end of December, and had horrendous cramping and bleeding. That all died down, but I have had cramping ever since. Then yesterday I had a lot of EWCM, and again really painful cramps in the right of my abdomen, on my side between my hip and my ribs. I took it as ovulation, but I never ever got this much pain before..It was barely noticeable.

It seems a bit better today, but I feel very "wet" down there, and also still feel crampy.

OMG waiting4bump thats so bizarre the two of us lol - glad its not just me was beginning to think I was starting to imagine all this.

I ve felt quite tired too and really weepy & pathetic which isnt normally me - so feel like an allround nutcase at the minute, do u have any other wierd symptoms ?? x

No..Well, if you're imagining it all, then I am too! But no, it's really too painful to be imagining it all!

I have been exhausted, tearful and moody, and needing a lot of cuddles and reassurance, which isn't like me at all. Plus, I have been sleeping for about 2 hours a night for no reason at all..And then one day I just stay in bed all day!

I just have no idea why? xx

No i ve no idea why either must just be hormone related I guess, just didnt realise how much hormones can knock u about, i ve imagined all sortz too - I think one of my hormones must have caused temporary insanity ..............at least i hope temporary lol x

If either of you ladies have any doubts see your dr .They do say though that a m/c can mess your body up for a while and i suppose your emotions go hand in hand with that.

I'm feeling more crampy again today, still not as bad as Thursday though. But a bit more than yesterday, so I have no idea what is going on.

I have cried this morning, because I opened my mouth and my lip split in the morning, and then again because I am so hungry. I would NEVER normally cry about these things, so to me, that's wierd.

If I still feel the same by Wednesday, I'm carting myself to the GP!

Aww hun hope u feel bit better soon, those cramps are a nightmare and nothing I took medication wise really helped.

I woke up this morning convinced AF had started but when I went to bathroom it was just the same discharge / mucus. Nearly burst into tears a few hours ago felt all panicky for some strange reaon but as for why I just dont know.

My cramps seemed to have disappeared for now that said they seem worse afternoons & evenings so whether they'll return later Im not sure, hope not. Im supposed to be out with some girlfriends this eve but really dont fancy it but try trying to motivate myself as I cant think of a decent enough excuse lol

Still feeling quite tired and my boobs are a bit sensitive and my stomach feels odd like it has a ping pong ball bouncing around in it lol so all in all the AF due signs are there I guess

Just so wierd as I normally never have any symptoms etc. Am wishing it would just hurry up and arrive so I know where I am and hopefully will allow my hormones to settle so I can feel more normal again.

Will see doc if things worsen but think its just my body going through the motions for now, just nice to know im not that mad and am not the only one.

No sooner did I post this did I start to get lower stomach cramps and twinges - she must deffo be en route x

Just wondering what the outcome was for you as I've been having the same thing as far as the cramps/backache and CM go, I started bleeding last Friday at about 4+2 and have been cramping on and off since yesterday. Can't really comment on the emotions as my cat died under anaesthetic whilst being neutered today and a friend told me she's 8wks pregnant so I'm a bit all over the place anyway!

Oh its a long story since then lol.

Basically all of the symptoms I initially mentioned I ve been experiencing on and off, along with a clearish watery discharge that felt as though was gushing out of me at times but in reality wasnt that bad.

I started spotting on 24th Jan for approx 30 mins {after intercourse}, was a orangy red colour, not watery but very light. After that I had some brown discharge for a 2-3 days. I ve done a couple of hpts - had a very faint pos on one but could easily have been an evap line, and have had 2 bfns on other tests.

AF still hasnt turned up yet so at the moment just waiting and seeing - such a nightmare.

U seem to have been having a rubbish time lately, hope things pick up for u and that u start to feel better soon x
