Cramping at 5 weeks

Hi.
I am only 5+1 today and VERY nervous!
I had quite bad cramping this morning for about an hour and fully expected bleeding to follow but nothing yet.
I don't remember having any cramping at this point with baba number 1 so I am really worried. Is this normal or should I brace myself for the worst?

Cramping doesn't mean anything is wrong. I had cramping until about 6 or 7 weeks. It's subsided now. As long as there is no blood.. don't worry.

I didn't have cramping in my first pregnancy but have had with one - after bfp for 4-5 weeks, at 7 weeks, and also yesterday at 9 weeks (with spotting). All along they've felt just like period cramps and have been very scary to have. But I had an ultrasound yesterday and all was well. I've read that cramping is quite normal with pregnancy, even if you didn't have it before.

Cramping is normal, I've had it all the way through (getting better now though).

Haven't had any cramping since Tuesday morning but started bleeding yesterday and have been on and off all day. Not heavy but like a very very light period. Feeling like it could be over but still a tiny bit of hope.

between 5 and 6 weeks, I had cramping so severe that I'd often be doubled over in pain, crying - it lasted around 5-7 days. Not a drop of blood and I'm 18 weeks today

I get a lot of cramps, most of which my midwife reassured me where just my uterus stretching out. Some she reckons aren't actually my uterus but where I am constipated and all my organs are getting squished together as the uterus is growing they could now be cramps associated with the constipation as well.
But every time I get cramping I obsessively go to the bathroom lots to check for spotting and I haven't had any at all.

Try and relax as much as you can, easier said than done though I know.
